Do good. Tell great stories. Build meaningful connections.

Driven to make a difference, I’m interested in leveraging years of working with museums and nonprofits nationwide to scale up my impact.

I'm a strategic communications and marketing leader with more than 15 years of experience helping museums, nonprofits, universities, and consumer brands connect with people in meaningful ways. Whether I'm developing a communications strategy, leading a brand refresh, designing packaging, managing public relations, or planning a digital campaign, I'm driven by one question: How can we inspire people to care?

Throughout my career, I've partnered with executive leaders to shape organizational messaging, prepare for media opportunities and public appearances, lead integrated marketing campaigns, and build brands that people trust. My experience spans communications strategy, public relations, executive messaging, graphic design, photography, digital marketing, website development, and creative direction. I enjoy moving between big-picture strategy and hands-on execution, bringing ideas to life from concept through launch.

I'm also a designer and photographer at heart. Over the years, I've designed branding and packaging for more than a dozen consumer packaged goods now found on retail shelves, art directed commercial photography, and created visual identities that help organizations stand out while staying true to who they are.

My work has helped organizations earn national and local media coverage, grow audiences, strengthen community engagement, and tell stories that leave a lasting impression. Whether the audience is museum visitors, nonprofit supporters, consumers, or the media, I believe thoughtful communication has the power to educate, inspire, and create connection.

When I'm away from my desk, you'll usually find me in my print studio creating large-format screen prints, snapping photos, or exploring museums with my family. I’m also a passionate milk banking advocate! What’s milk banking? I’m happy to tell you about it or you can visit milkbank.org for more information. I live in Austin, Texas, with my husband, our two wonderfully energetic kids, and Juniper, our Australian Shepherd.

I'm always interested in collaborating with organizations doing meaningful work. If that sounds like you, I'd love to connect.

Appreciations

“I worked with Randi during my time on the board of Crossroads of the American Revolution National Heritage Area. She wore a number of hats on the very small staff of what was a nascent organization at the time. Randi seamlessly shifted from having to manage grant budgets and event logistics in one moment to developing new graphic identity pieces in the next. Her enthusiasm and creativity added significant value to the organization and helped us “punch above our weight” in programmatic activity and visibility.”

— Patrick Murray, Director of Polling Institute, Monmouth University

“Randi's enthusiasm for marketing—and for life and anything it hands her—is admirable and contagious. My professional experience with Randi allowed me to witness her undertaking a large project to overhaul email marketing strategy and segmentation. I learned a lot from her about successfully engaging with audiences digitally, especially when it comes to delivering targeted messages and keeping audiences at the center. Not only is she a passionate, driven marketer, but she is also a genuinely kind human who enjoys helping others.”

— Emily Morris, Head of Marketing, Bullock Texas State History Museum

“Randi is thoughtful, creative, and hardworking, but above all, she is an excellent team player. Her work on several fundraising campaigns at the HRC was pivotal in helping us surpass fundraising goals. She has an excellent eye for design while being practical for the project. Finally, she brings an infectious, positive energy that inspires her teammates to perform higher.”

— Bruce Costner, Associate Director for Development, Cockrell School of Engineering

“Since our first meeting in 2015 I have had the opportunity to work with Randi in several ways. We became acquainted beginning in 2015 when personal circumstances led her to volunteer with the milk bank. Her outstanding public speaking skills and compassionate motivational storytelling have been demonstrated many times as we collaborated on public events including interviews with reporters. Randi inspires others through her own willingness to be vulnerable in the sharing of her experiences, and her poise and sense of professionalism are admirable.”

— Kim Updegrove, MSN, MPH, CNM, FACNM, Executive Director, Mothers’ Milk Bank at Austin

“Randi's enthusiasm for the cultural sector's positive impact on communities fuels her marketing approach and makes her an asset to any team. An excellent writer, she is able to grasp the intricacies of a challenge and find creative, but honest and forthright ways of communicating the messaging to the target audience.”

— Margaret Koch, Director, Bullock Texas State History Museum
